MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID WORKPLACE TRAINING

Most people are familiar with physical first aid - where you learn the skills and knowledge to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies and provide assistance across a range of situations. Mental Health First Aid training takes a similar approach. It equips participants with an understanding of different types of mental illness and, using the Mental Health First Aid Australia practical action plan, teaches them how to recognise and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.

MHFA WORKPLACE TRAINING

Mental Health First Aid Workplace Training with an aviation twist

Empower your staff to become Mental Health First Aiders

Every year, one in five Australians will experience a common mental health condition. This means that every day, millions of Australians go to work while living with a mental health problem, and the impact can be significant, affecting workplace productivity, performance, and safety.

Understanding how to confidently approach and talk about mental health in the workplace, with the aim of supporting someone in need, is a skill everyone can learn. The goal is to break down the stigma and culture of silence, especially within aviation.

Angela is a licensed Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor and Aviation Professional. She will weave real-life aviation experience and examples throughout the workshop. Participants will learn how to apply Mental Health First Aid to adults experiencing a range of common mental health problems and crisis situations, both in aviation and at home, including:
